Math: In math we will be moving from addition problems within 100 to subtraction problems within 100. I am working to get a list of parent logins for access to our online math program that provides you will informational and homework help videos on the lessons that we cover in class.
Reading: Within the next week will be finishing up our communities and neighborhoods unit. Our next unit will focus on stories about animals and their habitats. We will also continue work with suffixes, prefixes, synonyms and antonyms.
Writing/Science: Last week during writing we wrapped up our unit writing narratives about small moments in our lives. This week we will start our second unit, informational writing. We will be writing about topics that we can teach people about, as well as writing about the science experiments that we will be conducting in class. We will be doing experiments that will show us what happens with you apply heat to certain items, and the changes that can be caused when removing and adding heat to things.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I look forward to seeing you all next week at PTC's! :)
