What’s Happening This Month in 2nd Grade!
I hope that you all had a wonderful February break. We are hitting the ground running in second grade! Reading: In reading, we are continuing to work on theme 5 that is all about families all over the world and their cultures. Math: In math we are cruising through topic 10 which is all about adding numbers up to 1,000. The kiddos are pretty excited to use numbers greater than 100! Writing: In writing, we had some set backs that didn’t allow for us to finish our writing biography projects before break. I am hoping to continue to work on them to get them done! BUT! We are starting an exciting new science unit that will involve writing, researching, and creativity which I think the kids will love. We are partnering with an 8th grade English class to learn about a special wild animal and the habitat that they live in. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at anytime. :) Emily Important dates to remember: March 18th there is no school for a teacher inservice day!
